The national wrestling team member Akhmed Tazhudinov won the gold medal for Bahrain after emerging on top in the 97kg weight category at the World Wrestling Championship in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
Tazhudinov claimed the deserved victory at the expense of Azerbaijan wrestler Magomedkhan Magomedov in the final.
With this result, Tazhudinov was able to obtain a qualification card for the Olympic Games scheduled to be held in Paris next year.
