Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) has appointed Mahmood Ali as the new chief marketing and corporate communications officer.
Mr Ali will be responsible for all aspects of brand, marketing and corporate communications at BisB.
Bahrain Islamic Bank chief executive Yaser Alsharifi said: “We are delighted to have Mahmood join us to look after the bank’s brand, marketing and communications.
“BisB has a talented team who continue to deliver customer-centric, innovative, and simplified financial solutions. Mahmood will play a key role in enhancing our offering through engaging with our customers and enhancing their experience.”
Mr Ali said: “This is a really exciting time to be joining BisB, the strategy and vision are clear. The emphasis the bank places on understanding and meeting customer needs provides immense opportunity to develop and execute marketing and communications strategies that will engage customers and enhance their banking experience.”
With more than 20 years of experience in managing brands and reputation through developing and executing marketing and communications strategies globally, he was a senior director of communications and external affairs at Mumtalakat, Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund, prior to joining BisB.
He also held several senior positions, including the executive director of communications at Bahrain Economic Development Board and partner and managing director of Bell Pottinger, a London-based strategic communications agency.
