A NATIONAL campaign to raise urgently needed aid for the Palestinians in Gaza kicked off yesterday with a generous donation by His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
He donated BD100,000 to the ‘Help Gaza’ drive announced by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF). Meanwhile, Bahrain TV will run an appeal for funds on Friday from 2pm.
RHF secretary-general and National Committee for the Support of the Palestinians in Gaza chairman Dr Mustafa Al Sayed said that the campaign will be open for donations and contributions from everybody. Many national figures will appear on the programme with the aim of encouraging donations for the Palestinians in Gaza.
