BRAVE Combat Federation is set for a historic return home to Bahrain next month. Between December 5 and 16, the latest edition of the BRAVE International Combat Week (BICW) will take over the island with three major professional events, plus the first edition of the Asian Championships.
The organisation hosted a special Press conference to announce major details regarding the return of the largest combat sports festival to Bahrain. And BRAVE CF president Mohammed Shahid spoke at length about what fans can expect from the series of events, and specified the attractions of BRAVE CF 77, the show that kicks off BICW.
The event will be headlined by two world title fights, with world champions Abdisalam Kubanychbek (lightweight) and Marcin Bandel (super welterweight) defending their crowns against the top contenders in their respective divisions, Lucas Martins (lightweight) and Kamal Magomedov (super welterweight).
“This edition of the BRAVE International Combat Week is super stacked and full of amazing stories and fights. So much so that we’ve decided to kick things off with a double title headliner. You’ll have our most feared champion in Abdisalam Kubanychbek defending his title against a Brazilian legend in Lucas Martins,” said Shahid, who also hailed the co-main event of BRAVE 77.
“There’s also a match-up of dreams to discover who is the best super welterweight in the world. Marcin Bandel is the champion, but now he has the greatest challenge of his career when he takes on the undefeated Kamal Magomedov. This is an epic way to start off what will be a historic week.”
Aside from the two title fights, fans can also expect athletes from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Ukraine, Zimbabwe, Tajikistan, and Slovenia, making it a truly international sporting event in the home of BRAVE Combat Federation.
