ARIAL Balvino of the Philippines entered the quarter-finals of Men’s Super Singles of the 35th GPIC Tennis Championship 2023, being played at the Bahrain Tennis Club courts in Juffair, with a battling 4-6, 6-4, 5-1 (retd) over countryman Ric Alforque yesterday.
In another three-set thriller, this time in the Veterans 45 Singles, Switzerland’s Mathias Pape entered the quarter-finals with a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 victory over Bahrain’s Ahmed Mahfood.
