The UAE enjoys a special place in the hearts of all Bahrainis, His Majesty King Hamad said as he congratulated the country on its 52nd Union Day.
He also stressed that the UAE’s honourable stances towards the kingdom will remain engraved in the memory of the Bahraini people, reflecting the solid fraternal ties between the two countries and their peoples.
The King was speaking as he attended the official celebration of the Union Day, at Expo City Dubai, in the presence of UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and UAE Federal Supreme Council members.
Leaders, heads of governments and representatives of countries participating in the 28th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties To the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) were also present.
The King expressed his congratulations to the UAE President, the Vice-President, Federal Supreme Council members and the Emirati people on their National Day.
He affirmed that since the initial years of its founding, and thanks to the sound policies and efforts of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE has achieved major strides in political, economic, developmental, scientific, cultural and educational fields.
The King expressed his deepest pride in the landmark cultural and development achievements the UAE continues to attain, citing the manifestations of the modern renaissance that it is witnessing in all fields.
He also commended the distinguished international reputation, as well as the global respect and appreciation the UAE enjoys thanks to the leadership of President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
His Majesty lauded the UAE’s strong regional and international presence thanks to its endeavours to establish security and stability, as well as spread peace in the region and the world. He highlighted the country’s global initiatives to promote human values of coexistence, tolerance and co-operation among peoples, in addition to its efforts to achieve goodness, development and prosperity for the benefit of entire humanity.
