On Sunday, Bahrain will ring in 2024 with a host of New Year’s Eve celebrations.
The Tourism Ministry has announced that on December 31 at midnight, seven iconic landmarks across the kingdom will be lit up with fireworks to mark the beginning of 2024:
- Bahrain Fort
- Water Garden City
- Bahrain Harbour
- Bahrain Bay
- Bahrain National Museum
- Al Najma Club
- Marassi Beach
In addition to dazzling fireworks, the Festival City at Water Garden City will also host light and drone shows, in addition to a slew of live performances.
The Traffic Directorate has also advised attendees at any of these firework shows to arrive early, with heavy traffic anticipated.
“On occasion of New Year’s Eve celebrations, the General Directorate of Traffic requests you to adhere to traffic regulations and rules, and to cooperate with traffic personnels, in order to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and everyone’s safety,” the directorate said, in a statement.
