A Bahraini military-inspired reality show that had television viewers glued to their screens during its first edition last year is making a grand comeback.
National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has directed the launch of the second season of Gadeha (You can do it) following the massive success of its first edition.

All citizens of the GCC countries will have the opportunity to take part in the programme, which also reveals the hardships and sacrifices endured by soldiers.
The show features physically fit and athletic youth, aged 18 and above, competing in a series of contests to showcase their strength and endurance. The first edition saw young Bahrainis taking up ‘military-style’ challenges on land and at sea, aiming to prove they got what it takes to be crowned the winner.
Last year’s top three winners reportedly received BD10,000, BD5,000 and BD3,000 respectively.
The first episode of the programme was broadcast in August 2023 on the Shahid streaming platform and reflected Bahraini youths’ innovative potential and creativity. The season featured seven episodes.
Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser praised the programme’s high quality and standards which reflected a positive image of Bahrain.

He further stressed the need for such shows that promote the kingdom and embody Bahrainis’ determination in braving all challenges.
“The programme’s reputation is based on its objectives, which include fostering a positive spirit of challenge and determination,” he said, wishing all participants luck and success in the upcoming season.
He emphasised the importance of preparing for the second edition of the programme to ensure it not only matches the success of the first season, but potentially surpasses it.
He also expressed his appreciation for the efforts of all those involved in the show.
The organising committee announced that registration would open soon on the competition’s website, GADEHA.TV.
