Alba has won four major National Safety Council (NSC) USA awards for 2024, namely Perfect Record Award, Occupational Excellence Achievement Award, Milestone Award and Million Work Hours Award.
As one of the world’s largest aluminium smelters, Alba’s unwavering commitment to safety continues to pay dividends and earned it four NSC milestones.
“At Alba, safety is a continuous process, not a destination,” said chief executive Ali Al Baqali. “Keeping our employees safe is our number one priority, this commitment creates a strong safety environment and ensures the very best safety practices throughout all our operations. Winning these NSC awards recognises our team’s hard work and motivates us to keep safety at the forefront.”
Mr Al Baqali added: “Building on a remarkable 2023, we have recently hit another safety milestone with more than 16 million safe working hours without lost time injury,”
Alba will be presented with the four NSC Awards at the 2024 National Safety Council Congress and Expo, that will be held in Orlando, USA in September 2024.
