BBK has announced the appointment of Salman Al Hasan as the bank’s general manager for international banking and overseas branches.
The appointment underscores BBK’s commitment to nurturing local talent and empowering employees to take on key roles in leadership positions and lead the bank’s strategic initiatives and developmental projects.
Congratulating Mr Al Hasan, BBK group chief executive Dr AbdulRahman Saif said: “We are confident his wealth of experience and notable achievements, will substantially contribute towards advancing excellence and fostering innovation within our international banking services.”
Dr Saif added: “With this new appointment, we anticipate significant strides in our efforts to expand operations into global markets, thereby solidifying our pioneering position within the banking industry.”
On the occasion of his appointment, Mr Al Hasan expressed his appreciation to the board and the management of the bank.
He added, “I am looking forward to continue working with the international banking and overseas branches excellent team members, delivering on the bank’s ambitious strategy and offering an excellent banking experience to our international clients. My journey with the bank and the achievements were highly recognised and I am keen to continue progressing with the same enthusiasm and the aim of broadening even more the international banking offering.”
Mr Al Hasan has 22 years of banking experience and holds a master’s degree in finance from The Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business from DePaul University, US.
He joined BBK in 2013.
