CRICKET – BAHRAIN Cricket Federation (BCF) coaching staff and officials participated in the ICC High Performance Conference held in Male, Maldives, in collaboration with the Maldives Cricket Association.
Coach Azeem Ul Haque successfully completed an ICC Educator Level Two course, while director of high performance and bowling coach Prachur Shukla and director of modified cricket and ICC/ACC coordinator Adel Ahmed Surve attended the two-day conference.
The event aimed to develop a robust coaching ecosystem for ICC associate members and establish a clear high performance pathway.
BCF advisory board chairman Mohammed Mansoor said: “Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and his visionary leadership, Bahrain cricket has made significant strides in recent years.
“This conference provided a valuable opportunity for the BCF to enhance its coaching capabilities and contribute to the growth of cricket in the kingdom.”
“We are delighted that our coaches have had the chance to participate in this prestigious conference,” said Shukla. “The knowledge and expertise gained will be instrumental in implementing the ICC Level Two coaching programme in Bahrain and certifying local coaches up to this level.”
The conference was facilitated by ICC Asia Region Development manager Aminul Islam, master educator Iqbal Sikander, and Pakistan Cricket Board coach educator Shahid Aslam.
Notable attendees included representatives from 17 associate countries, Pakistan Cricket Board, and Pakistan International cricketer Wahab Riaz.
The BCF is committed to nurturing cricketing talent in Bahrain and believes that this conference was a crucial step towards achieving this goal.
