The New York Times has just announced that a new reporter, Bahraini Ismaeel Naar, will be joining its Gulf bureau.
The 33-year-old started his career in journalism writing the Youth Talk column in GulfWeekly, and went on to scoop one of the media industry’s most prestigious prizes, named as ‘Outstanding Young Arab Journalist of the Year’ in recognition of a series of news articles and features he had penned .
