His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, congratulated last night Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Team Bahrain’s heroes from the Paris 2024 Olympics, in their reception at Sakhir Air Base.
HRH Prince Salman met with gold medal winners Akhmed Tazhudinov and Winfred Yavi, silver-medallist Salwa Eid Naser, and bronze medal winner Gor Minasyan and commended them on their incredible achievements for Team Bahrain at the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad.
The four medals earned the kingdom its best-ever haul at any Olympics, and it placed them first on the final medal table amongst Arab delegations, sixth amongst Asian countries, and 33rd in the world from the 204 participating nations.
