HIS Majesty King Hamad has praised Bahrain’s historic success at Paris Olympics 2024.
This achievement has elevated the kingdom’s position in the global sports arena, he pointed out as he received Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Sakhir Palace yesterday.
The meeting followed Shaikh Khalid’s return from the Olympics, where Bahrain won four medals; which included two gold, one silver and one bronze.
The King expressed his appreciation to Shaikh Khalid for his dedicated efforts to advance the youth and sports sectors.
He highlighted his significant contributions to Bahrain’s position in the international sporting arena.

His Majesty also commended the efforts of his representative for humanitarian works and youth affairs and SCYS chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Shaikh Khalid for their unwavering support for Bahraini athletes.
The King congratulated the Bahraini athletes for their outstanding performances and exemplary sportsmanship throughout the Olympics.
In addition, he praised the efforts of the GSA, BOC and all those who contributed to these distinguished results.
The King highlighted the continued progress and achievements in Bahraini sports, attributing these successes to the determination of the citizens.
He emphassied the kingdom’s commitment to supporting young Bahraini athletes and ensuring their success in all sports and youth sectors.
He wished success to Shaikh Nasser, Shaikh Khalid and all Bahraini youngsters in their future endeavours.
