A massive fire broke out in a residential building in the Al Wardiyan area of Alexandria, Egypt, on Friday evening, resulting in the death of one woman. 19 people were reported injured in the incident.
The fire initially started in a shoe store located on the ground floor of the building and quickly spread to an apartment on the second floor causing residents to suffer from smoke inhalation, fractures, and burns, while one woman succumbed to her injuries.
An investigation revealed that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in the shoe store.
