FOOTBALL – The Bahrain Football Association (BFA) announced yesterday the candidacy of BFA vice-president Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa for membership to the Union of the Arab Football Association (UAFA) executive committee for the 2025–29 term.
The 28th general assembly of the UAFA is scheduled to be held on Sunday.
This candidacy reflects the BFA’s commitment to strengthening its presence on the Arab and international football stage and to contributing its expertise and capabilities in support of Arab sports through the UAFA.
Shaikh Khalifa is standing for election to represent the Asian continent on the executive committee, while Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal will assume the UAFA presidency unopposed.
The BFA expressed full confidence in Shaikh Khalifa’s ability to make an impactful contribution to the UAFA, to advance the development of the sport, and to promote its growth across the Arab world.
