The kingdom’s top darts players will be vying for a spot in the highly anticipated Bahrain Darts Masters 2025 in a local qualifying tournament next week.
Registration is now open for the qualifiers, which are scheduled for December 15 to 17. Two places are up for grabs for leading Bahraini talents to join the star-studded field in the darts spectacle, which will be held at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir on January 16 and 17.
The qualification event will take place at The Dragon Beach Hotel in Amwaj Islands, and it also offers cash prizes up to US$2,000. It is open to all Bahraini players with a BD40 entry fee, which includes entry tickets to the Bahrain Darts Masters 2025.
Those interested in taking part can register by emailing arefmurad@gmail.com or by calling +973-39699616. Registration closes on 13 December at 6pm.
The qualifying competition will be held across three days. The first two rounds will take place on December 15, with the third and fourth rounds to be held on December 16. The last 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final will then take place on December 17.
All games are on a knockout basis. There will be four qualifiers from each round, which will be held best-of-seven legs. The last 16 will then be played best-of-nine legs, with the quarters and semis set to be held best-of-11 legs. The final will be played best-of-13 legs.
The winner will receive US$500 in prize money, while the runner-up will get US$300. The rest of the last 16 will also receive cash prizes.
In this year’s Bahrain Darts Masters, which took place in January, Abdulla Saeed and Hasan Haji were the two Bahraini players who competed.
The local players who will book places in next year’s event will be amongst eight Asian representatives who will be going up against eight Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) stars in the first round.
Teenage darts sensation and defending Bahrain Darts Masters champion Luke Littler, along with reigning World Champion Luke Humphries and top star Rob Cross, are the first three icons of the game already confirmed to be competing in the Kingdom next year.
The Bahrain Darts Masters 2025 will be the first World Series of Darts event of the new year and will also be the first tournament following the 2024/2025 PDC World Darts Championship.
The Bahrain Darts Masters is organised by BIC and sports promoter CBX and supported by Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority. It will take place at the BIC Dome, which will be transformed for the weekend into an incredible darts venue.
