Six young talented Bahraini artists came together to create 10 inspiring pieces as part of a National Day art event, organised by Hilton Bahrain in collaboration with the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties.
The celebration highlighted the creativity of the artists, aged 12 to 17, and promoted inclusivity for children facing communication and behavioural challenges through a platform to express themselves.
The artists came together yesterday at the Alia Autism Centre.
The pieces will now be displayed at the Hilton Bahrain’s lobby until December 19, ‘allowing guests and the wider community to appreciate the remarkable talent of these children’, a spokesperson for the hotel explained.
The judging panel for the competition featured Hilton Bahrain general manager Tamer Farouk, artist Rasha Al Mannai and Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties director Shaikha Rania bint Ali Al Khalifa.
“We are honoured to support this initiative, which not only celebrates Bahrain National Day but also empowers young artists from the community,” Mr Farouk added.
“Their creativity is a reflection of resilience and talent and we are thrilled to provide a platform for their voices to be heard.”
The Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural and Communication Difficulties conducts education sessions and advocacy at all levels while promoting public awareness and research. Its members include parents, family members, special education teachers, administrators, doctors, therapists, nurses and aides, as well as countless other personnel involved in the education, care, treatment and support of individuals with behavioural and communication difficulties.
“It is inspiring to witness the unique perspectives and emotions these children express through their art,” Ms Al Mannai added.
“Each piece tells a story and reflects the beauty of diversity in our society. I am proud to be part of this initiative that uplifts young talent.”
