The Khalid Bin Hamad Endurance Race will start today at the Bahrain International Endurance Village under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The event features local and international qualifying races organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).
Today’s events include 120km and 100km international races, and local races of 100km, 80km, and 40km. The main 120km race for private stables will take place tomorrow, followed by an awards ceremony for the top three winners.
Preparations included veterinary checks, horse registration, and rider weigh-ins, carried out by dedicated committees.
