His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, arrived today in the Sultanate of Oman on a (state visit), at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman.
His Majesty the King is set to hold talks with His Majesty Sultan Haitham, focusing on the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to enhance strategic cooperation across various fields, and discussions on current regional and international developments.
Upon arrival at the Royal Private Airport, His Majesty the King was welcomed by His Majesty the Sultan, who wished His Majesty the King and the accompanying delegation a pleasant stay.
His Majesty the King expressed great pleasure in the visit, noting that it reflects the historical ties and enduring bonds that have united the two nations and their peoples over the ages.
His Majesty commended the significant development in bilateral cooperation across various fields, acknowledging the tangible efforts by both countries to elevate these relations to broader levels. These efforts aim to strengthen shared bonds, advance mutual interests, and achieve benefits for both nations and their peoples.
His Majesty also praised the Sultanate of Oman’s comprehensive progress and development in various domains, highlighting its continuous achievements for the Omani people under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.
Accompanying the Royal aircraft upon entering Omani airspace were military jets from the Royal Air Force of Oman, in a gesture of welcome. At the airport, senior officials, ministers, ambassadors, and members of the honour delegation greeted His Majesty the King.
Thereafter, His Majesty the King and His Majesty the Sultan of Oman proceeded to the ceremonial hall, passing between two rows of guards of honour from the Royal Guard of Oman. Following a brief pause, during which they exchanged cordial conversations about the distinguished fraternal relations, the motorcade of His Majesty the King and His Majesty the Sultan departed the Royal Airport, heading to Al Alam Palace, where official and public reception ceremonies were held for His Majesty the King.
As the motorcade passed through Muscat’s gates, royal camel and horse guards lined the route, accompanied by military music. Upon arrival at the outer courtyard of Al Alam Palace, a reception took place, with traditional music and folklore art performances, as well as groups performing the "Al Ayyala" art, echoing welcoming phrases for His Majesty the King.
In the inner courtyard of Al Alam Palace, the Royal Band played the Bahraini national anthem, and a 21-gun salute was fired in honour of His Majesty the King. Both leaders ascended the dais for the ceremonial welcome.
Afterwards, His Majesty the King greeted senior Omani officials, including members of the State and Shura Councils, ministers, commanders of the Sultan's Armed Forces, and the Royal Oman Police.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham also greeted the Bahraini delegation accompanying His Majesty the King, welcoming them and wishing them a pleasant stay.
The honorary delegation was headed by Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior.
