His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday assigned Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to visit Sitra following the Iranian attacks that targeted the area and damaged residential properties.
Shaikh Khalid was accompanied by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, other ministers and senior officials.
The Deputy Prime Minister conveyed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directive that the government will cover the costs of repairing the affected homes and properties and provide appropriate solutions to ensure the wellbeing of the residents.
He also informed the families of those injured that the government will continue to monitor their medical condition and ensure necessary care. This includes treatment through government hospitals, having specialised doctors attend to their treatment when required, or arranging treatment abroad if required.
Meeting residents of Sitra, Shaikh Khalid said the hostile Iranian attacks clearly demonstrated the unity of the Bahraini people and their solidarity behind the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad when facing challenges.
“The pain felt by the families in Sitra has resonated across the kingdom,” said the Deputy Prime Minister, reflecting the strong national cohesion in Bahrain and the unity of its people in safeguarding the country’s security, stability and social fabric.
“The government is mobilising all available resources to address the aftermath of the attacks and ensure the safety of citizens and residents,” he affirmed.
He also highlighted the high level of readiness and professionalism shown by security personnel and medical teams, as well as their swift response in protecting lives and property.
Shaikh Khalid stressed that Bahrain will continue its comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty and the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
“The kingdom will continue to strengthen security and stability and will confront any attempts to undermine its sovereignty or national capabilities.”
Residents of Sitra expressed their appreciation to His Majesty and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for their directives, which they said reflect the leadership’s commitment to the safety and wellbeing of citizens.
They also thanked the Deputy Prime Minister, the Interior Minister, and other ministers as well as officials for their visit, noting that it reflected the government’s attention to the safety of citizens and its efforts to address their needs during these circumstances. They affirmed their confidence in the measures taken by the state to confront the attacks and protect lives and property.
