Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has directed officials to double financial support for eligible individuals receiving social security and disability allowances in observance of Ramadan.
He directed the Social Development Ministry to distribute financial support prior to Ramadan to guarantee adequate living standards for citizens, particularly those in low-income groups.
HRH the Deputy King issued the directives as he chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting yesterday at Gudaibiya Palace.
The Cabinet commended the launch of the ‘MyGov’ application, expressing gratitude to the ministerial committee for information technology and communication, chaired by the Interior Minister, for their efforts in this initiative.
It discussed a number of memorandums during the meeting, approving the following:
- A memorandum submitted by the ministerial committee for development and infrastructure projects on developing procedures supporting investment efforts in the real estate sector in Bahrain.
- A memorandum submitted by the ministerial committee for legal and legislative affairs on a draft resolution amending the executive regulations of the Civil Service Law.
- A memorandum on an MoU between the Customs Affairs at the Interior Ministry and the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency of Italy for mutual co-operation in customs matters.
- A memorandum on the co-operation programme under the framework of the MoU between the Health Ministries of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
- A memorandum submitted by the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister on the launch of an electronic service for private notaries to facilitate real estate sale procedures, through electronic integration between relevant government agencies.
- A memorandum submitted by the ministerial committee for legal and legislative affairs on the government’s response to three proposals submitted by Parliament and a proposed law submitted by the Shura Council.
The Cabinet reviewed the following:
- A memorandum submitted by the Foreign Minister on the tasks undertaken by the national committee responsible for coordinating and following up on the implementation of initiatives presented by Bahrain at the 33rd Arab Summit.
In addition, the Cabinet noted the following ministerial reports:
- Outcomes of the visit made by Egypt’s Foreign, Immigration and Expatriates Affairs Minister to Bahrain.
- Outcomes of the official visit of the Works Minister to the UAE to meet counterparts in implementation of a Cabinet decision.
- Outcomes of the kingdom’s participation in the ministerial meeting of the ministerial committee for food safety at the GCC General Secretariat.
- The prominent events of Manama, the Arab Media Capital 2024.
