Interior Minister and chairman of the ministerial committee to follow up on the implementation of the national plan to promote belonging to the nation and reinforce the values of citizenship, “Bahrainouna”, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has emphasised the importance of community partnership in fostering social security.
This came during a meeting yesterday with Ma’an programme team, held in the presence of officials.
The minister praised the pivotal role of Bahrain police in implementing the visions of His Majesty King Hamad on reaching out to citizens and safeguarding them.
He also commended the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in launching initiatives, including Ma’an (Together) programme.
Gen Shaikh Rashid also lauded the key role played by the community police in maintaining security and enforcing the law.
He underscored contribution of Ma’an programme to raising public awareness, fighting violence and addiction, and addressing negative behaviour.
