Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) secretary general Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and the Royal Medical Services (RMS) Commander Brigadier Dr Shaikh Fahd bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa attended the second phase of cochlear implant at the Bahrain Defence Force Hospital for two children, out of 14, benefiting from the project initiated by RHF.
The RHF secretary general asserted the foundation’s keenness to provide full support for critical cases to help patients lead a normal life.
The electronic cochlear implant initiative is considered one of the most prominent initiatives being implemented with the support of several institutions and philanthropists and the oversight of a specialised medical team from the RMS.
The RHF secretary general praised success of the surgery performed on the two children, stressing the positive impact of such operations on deaf patients or those suffering from severe hearing loss.
