National Security Adviser and Royal Guard Commander Lieutenant-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the closing ceremony of the Royal Guard’s Ramadan sports competitions yesterday. The ceremony was attended by Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Guard Special Force, Major General Hamad Khalifa Al Nuaimi, Deputy Commander of the Royal Guard, and a number of officers, non-commissioned officers and personnel.
Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser crowned Colonel Shaikh Khalid with the Royal Guard Ramadan Competitions Cup for 2025, after the Royal Guard Special Force team achieved first place in the championship. Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser also honoured the participants in the various competitions, in appreciation of their efforts and outstanding performance.
Lt Gen Shaikh Nasser commended the importance of the sports event in enhancing physical fitness and raising the level of physical and mental readiness of participants. He emphasised that these competitions reflect a spirit of challenge and discipline and contribute to the development of sports and military skills.
He also commended the efforts made in organising the event, appreciating the distinguished performance of the participants and their commitment to the spirit of competition.
