MOTORSPORT – BAHRAINI-BRITISH GT team 2 Seas Motorsport are part of a 26-car field that will be lining up on the grid at Donington Park Circuit in the UK this weekend for the first round of the 2025 British GT Championship.
2 Seas, co-owned by Bahrain’s Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, have entered two cars for this campaign in the series’ GT3 Pro-Am category.
The tandem of Kevin Tse and Maximilian Goetz return to the familiar surroundings of the team’s #18 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo car after claiming two victories and pole positions last year.
They are joined for 2025 by reigning GT4 Pro-Am champion Charles Dawson and debutant Kiern Jewiss in the team’s #42 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.
2 Seas are competing in their sixth consecutive season in the highly competitive British GT Championship, and it is the fifth time they are fielding two cars.
Series organisers have announced the entry list for Donington Park, with the grid featuring 14 GT3 contenders and 12 GT4 challengers.
This Saturday, the British GT runners will have an hour-long practice before going out for qualifying later in the day. That will set the starting positions for the season-opening two-hour race on Sunday, which is scheduled to flag off at 2.45pm, Bahrain time.
Tse and Goetz will be gunning for the series’ GT3 Pro-Am title as they hope to help 2 Seas repeat the GT3 teams’ championship success from 2023. Their car this year is sporting an exciting new livery following the sponsorship of A Bathing Ape, which has been a symbol of Japanese street fashion for more than 30 years.
Jewiss and Dawson are looking forward to making an impact with the team. Jewiss is a former champion in British F4 and the Porsche Carrera Cup GB and is making his debut in the British GT, while Dawson was last season’s GT4 Pro-Am champion.
The 2025 British GT Championship features nine rounds on the calendar, to be held across six meetings in the UK and one in Belgium.
Following the Donington Park curtain-raiser, round two will take place at Silverstone Circuit from April 25 to 27. Rounds three and four will then be held at Oulton Park over the weekend of May 23 to 26, then the series will move to Spa-Francorchamps for round five from June 20 to 22.
Snetterton will host rounds six and seven from July 11 to 13, round eight will be at Brands Hatch on August 23 and 24, and then the ninth and final round will be back at Donington Park on October 4 and 5.
2 Seas took part in a media and test day at Silverstone last week in preparation for the new campaign.
