The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Child Rights Commissioner Dr Houria Abbas Al Dairi has emphasised the ongoing efforts to promote the culture of child rights and safeguard the children’s rights by ensuring their upbringing in a secure and safe environment.
“These efforts are continuing through a series of initiatives and awareness programmes, in addition to active participation in local and international events organised by the NIHR and official bodies in and outside Bahrain,” she told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
She also emphasised the importance of engaging children in addressing issues related to them and providing platforms that allow them to practise their rights and express themselves. “This is a fundamental pillar in building a society that respects rights and raises conscious generations capable of making change,” she said.
