His Majesty King Hamad has issued Royal Order No (13) of 2026 extending the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and Parliament.
The Royal Order stated that, after reviewing the Constitution, particularly Article (58), and in light of the necessity arising from the current circumstances and their implications, the following has been decreed.
Article One stipulates that the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and Parliament shall be extended for a fifth session for a period of one year, starting from December 12, 2026.
Article Two states that the Order shall be published in the Official Gazette.
