BASKETBALL – THE stage is set for the first competition of the Bahrain 3x3 Summer Tour 2025, which gets underway tomorrow at Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam.
The draw for the event’s preliminary round and its official technical meeting was held yesterday, with Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) competitions committee chairman Hassan Yaseen in attendance, along with other officials and representatives from the 24 participating squads.
The field was divided into five groups. Group A features Seef, Black Horses, Mini Wolves, Cedar Squad, and Isa Town Club. Group B includes Muharraq Club, Big Guys, American University of Bahrain, Aura, and El 7oor. Group C is composed of Tranquilo, Saar, BS Action, Al Hidd, and Ultimate Hoops. Group D comprises Manama Crazy, Future Academy, Jokers, Alba, and Falcons; while Group E features ATBB, Nuwaidrat Club, Ettihad Club, and Black Wall.
The Bahrain 3x3 Summer Tour is part of a sports agenda aimed at promoting basketball during the summer and providing a competitive platform for the game’s enthusiasts in a dynamic format, played on a half-court with one hoop.
This championship represents a key initiative by the BBA to expand the participation base and establish Bahrain’s presence on the international 3x3 circuit, sanctioned by the International Basketball Federation (Fiba). Notably, this edition marks the launch of what will become an annual event.
The participating teams are competing to reach the Bahrain 3x3 Summer Tour’s final event, also known as a Quest competition, where the winner will earn a spot in one of the prestigious tournaments on the 2025 Fiba 3x3 World Tour.
