Householders in Bahrain are being urged to ensure safety checks and annual precautionary measures are taken as soon as possible as rising temperatures can lead to an increase in the number of residential fires and car blazes.
Civil Defence director-general Brigadier Ali Al Kubaisi warned that there often is a higher risk of blazes breaking out during the summer months due to the stress on electrical goods, wear and tear issues, as well as negligence .
