Bahrain’s wheelchair basketball national team have departed for Istanbul, Turkey for an intensive training camp in preparation for a West Asian championship. The camp is scheduled to continue until July 12, after which the Bahrainis will travel to Amman, Jordan for the regional tournament, which will take place from July 13 to 19.
The kingdom’s players include Nabeel Hamad Al Doseri, Mohammed Ahmed Al Malood, Ahmed Abbas Mushaima, Mohammed Jassim Jaafar, Nasser Ali Al Waqza, Ahmed Nader Nooh, Ali Ahmed Ramadhan, Sameer Abdulsalam, Ahmed Jaafar Abdulla, Mohammed Jassim Nasser, and Hassan Khaled Al Quraan.
The West Asian championship is a significant milestone in the national team’s regional participations, as the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation and Bahrain Paralympic Committee strive to achieve outstanding results that reflect the ongoing development of Paralympic sports in Bahrain.
