Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International Airport has begun using driverless baggage tractors to transport luggage to flights, aiming to reduce human error and expedite the process.
Six electric autonomous tractors tow up to four baggage containers at a time, following predefined routes to deliver baggage to each flight.
The project currently operates at a level of autonomy requiring minimal human oversight, with the goal of achieving full autonomy by early 2026.
