The Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts in Jeddah organised an art exhibition focusing on the discarded at the Abdulhalim Radwi Hall in the society's headquarters. The opening attracted numerous cultural and art enthusiasts.
This exhibition offers a unique artistic experience centred on repurposing damaged and discarded industrial materials into vibrant artworks that convey powerful environmental and humanitarian messages. It demonstrates art's capacity to transform overlooked materials into expressions of beauty.
The exhibition employs various techniques, including collage, embroidery, sculpture, and installations, featuring works created from recycled materials such as plastic, paper, iron, and pipes. Discarded components are reimagined as symbolic sculptures and paintings.
Running for 10 days, the exhibition aims to raise awareness about recycling and inspire the community to protect the environment. It also promotes visual arts and encourages younger generations to create art inspired by daily life using accessible materials.
