His Majesty King Hamad yesterday sent a cable of congratulations to UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the occasion of Union Pledge Day.
The day commemorates the historic meeting on July 18, 1971, during which UAE founder, the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and other Emirates rulers, signed the union document and constitution, officially declaring the United Arab Emirates .
