WRESTLING – General Sports Authority (GSA) deputy chairman and Bahrain Combat Sports Council president Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa praised the achievements of Bahrain’s wrestling national team at the Polyak Imre and Varga Janos Memorial in Budapest, Hungary.
Shaikh Salman stressed that their honourable results are the fruit of the support of the wise leadership and their continuous interest in developing Bahraini sports.
Shaikh Salman pointed out that the kingdom’s combat sports, especially wrestling, receive special attention from Supreme Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, GSA chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Salman praised the great work of the Bahrain Wrestling Federation (BWF), headed by BWF president Abdulredha Haji, and the determination of the athletes to represent the kingdom in the best way.
Haji expressed his happiness and pride for the success of the national team in the Hungarian capital. He pointed out that their accomplishments are thanks to the support of Shaikh Khalid and the follow-up and interest of Shaikh Salman, along with their dedication to their training and their high spirit in their participation.
