TENNIS – THE Bahrain Tennis Federation (BTF) has begun its initiative of integrating women with hearing impairments into its women’s tennis skills and fitness training programme.
This is being done in cooperation with the Bahrain Deaf Sports Federation, and is within the framework of the BTF’s commitment to activating its role in developing the game amongst all segments of society.
It also reaffirms the BTF’s commitment to working with the Bahrain Paralympic Committee to include people with special needs in its activities and providing them with an environment to practice tennis.
The programme features twice-a-week sessions under the guidance of coach Islam Ashour at the BTF courts in Isa Town.
