HIS Majesty King Hamad has directed the Transportation and Telecommunications Minister to follow up on procedures related to the King Hamad Causeway project, which will link Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
The King also said that major projects currently underway in Bahrain will play a big role in meeting the aspirations of the citizens.
They are in the nation’s interest and will further strengthen national development, he pointed out as he received several senior officials at Sakhir Palace yesterday.
The meeting discussed key domestic matters aimed at advancing the comprehensive development process.
The King also reflected positively on his recent visit to Italy, noting the productive discussions with President Giorgia Meloni.
He emphasised that these talks will help strengthen the strong bilateral relationship and encourage greater co-operation.
His Majesty also commended His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the positive results of his recent official visit to the United States.
He noted that the visit included important talks with US President Donald Trump and senior US officials, and led to the signing of several agreements and bilateral declarations.
The King said these achievements will further strengthen the partnership between Bahrain and the United States, reflecting the strong and lasting historical ties between the two countries.
He further praised the recent signing of the tripartite agreement marking the United Kingdom’s accession to the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA). This marks a significant step in establishing a robust framework for Mideast prosperity.
