The UAE has barred Israeli companies from participating in the Dubai Airshow, an international aviation and space exhibition scheduled to be held in Dubai in November.
Bloomberg News Agency, quoting an unnamed official, reported that the organisers of the Dubai Airshow informed Israeli defence companies that they would not be able to take part in the exhibition, without specifying whether this was due to the recent Israeli airstrikes on Hamas leaders in Qatar.
The source added that the official justification given was “lack of professional qualifications”.
Israel’s Defence Ministry confirmed to Bloomberg that it had received “notice from the exhibition organisers,” but refrained from providing further details.
A source familiar with the Dubai Airshow arrangements told the Tass news agency that information related to the participation of Israeli companies in one of the world’s largest aviation exhibitions is barred.
The source added that the decision was made on September 9, the same day as the Israeli attack on Doha.
