TABLE TENNIS – BAHRAIN added two gold medals yesterday at the Arab National Teams Table Tennis Championships 2025, currently being played in Casablanca, Morocco.
The kingdom’s under-17 men’s and under-13 girls’ national teams both bagged the gold medal in their respective age-groups.
The under-17 men’s squad consisted of aspiring talents Mohammed Nader Al A’ali, Hussain Jaber, and Majed Osama. They secured their crown after defeating hosts Morocco 3-0 in their final.
The under-13 girls’ team featured Hessa Abdulrahman, Kenda Mahmood, and Jouri Khaled. They outclassed Syria 3-0 in last night’s gold medal match-up.
The pair or victories added to the title triumph of the under-19 team, which also featured Al A’ali and teammates Majed Naji and Yousef Hassan Aman.
Bahrain Olympic Committee board member and Bahrain Table Tennis Association (BTTA) president Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa and BTTA vice-president Abdulali Al Madah congratulated the two squads on their gold medal wins. Both Shaikha Hayat and Al Madah head the kingdom’s delegation in Morocco for the tournament.
The Arab National Teams Table Tennis Championships 2025 is scheduled to continue until Thursday.
The tournament includes team, singles, doubles, and mixed doubles competitions, and covers the following age groups: men’s and women’s teams (born in 2005 and older), and teams in the under -19, under-17, under-15, under-13, and under-11 age groups.
