Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef visited the Saudi pavilion participating in Hannover Messe at the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) in Shanghai.
During his tour of the Saudi pavilion, Alkhorayef was briefed on the activities of the industrial and mineral resources ecosystem entities and the Ministry of Investment. These activities aim to introduce the competitive advantages of the investment environment in the Kingdom, the promising opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors, and the enablers provided to investors, in addition to cultural presentations on Saudi heritage.
Alkhorayef conducted an extensive tour of several international pavilions at the exhibition, where he was briefed on the latest innovative industrial solutions and smart manufacturing technologies, including robotics, industrial software, and automation.
On the sidelines of his visit to the exhibition, Minister Alkhorayef held a bilateral meeting with the leaders of Virtual Mind Holding (VMH), a leading company in robotics manufacturing and AI systems development. They discussed ways to enhance industrial cooperation between the two sides and explored joint opportunities for exchanging expertise and transferring advanced manufacturing technologies to the Kingdom.
He witnessed the signing of three strategic agreements between the National Industrial Development centre and several Chinese companies, including AVIC International, Lanshi Superalloy Company, and BMGK Company. The agreements are aimed at localising aviation industry technologies in the Kingdom, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The agreements were signed by National Industrial Development centre Chief Executive Eng. Saleh Al-Solami.
The tour of the minister of industry and mineral resources at the Hannover Messe fair in Shanghai is part of his official visit to the People's Republic of China, which aims to expand the horizons of strategic cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and mining sectors and attract high-quality investments to the Kingdom.
