Beijing: Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Saudi Arabia, held a meeting with Li Lecheng, Minister of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, to discuss means to expand industrial partnership between the two countries and investment opportunities in advanced industrial sectors.
The meeting also reviewed enhancing cooperation in strategic domains, including automotive manufacturing, pharmaceutical industries, and chemical industries, as well as opportunities to exchange expertise, transfer technology, and qualify human resources in these areas, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The two sides emphasised the importance of supporting and empowering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the industrial sector to maximise their role in achieving sustainable development.
The meeting also reviewed the competitive advantages of Saudi Arabia’s industrial investment environment and the incentives provided to facilitate the investor's journey, in addition to the Kingdom’s strategic elements that make it a promising destination for global industrial investments, including its geographical location connecting three continents, abundant natural resources, competitive energy prices, advanced infrastructure, and developed industrial cities.
The meeting comes as part of the official visit of Minister Alkhorayef to China, which aims to expand strategic cooperation between the two countries in the industry and mining sectors and attract quality investments to the Kingdom.
