The bridge will cut a 2-hour journey to 2 minutes.
At 4,659-feet the main bridge span is the largest ever built in a mountainous area, Chinese state media says
The Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, which rises 625 metres above the Beipan River and stretches 2,890 metres across the canyon, took more than three years to complete, CCTV reported.
As part of the Liuzhi-Anlong highway, the bridge will shorten the driving time between Zhenfeng county and Guanling county, which are located on either side of the canyon, from two hours to about two minutes, CCTV added.
