A mother of a newborn baby in the US is going viral after she won her local monthly Mortal Kombat tournament while holding her five-day-old infant in her arms.
The Florida woman, who goes by the name ‘Legi0n’ online, competed five days after she gave birth in a local video game tournament hosted by Juicy Game Nights on Saturday, and won first place in the Mortal Kombat XL heat—all while caring for her baby.
She said she decided to compete in the tournament ‘on a whim’ alongside her husband, despite still recovering from a complicated pregnancy and an emergency C-section.
“So glad that we honestly left the house and did this,” she wrote on X. “Our daughter’s so chill around noise and car rides, possibly because I travelled so much while pregnant. …Never want to stop doing things that I love, just need to adjust my life accordingly for our younger daughter.”
Legi0n was awarded a cash prize of $28 for her win, and her husband, who goes by the name ‘Argenrost’, was placed third in the tournament.
