The Gulf Railway Authority has confirmed that the project now has a final deadline of December 2030 and that GCC countries are on track to meet the deadline.
During the "Global Rail 2025" conference and exhibition in Abu Dhabi, the Director of the Gulf Railway Authority emphasised the project's importance in several media statements, confirming the efforts of each GCC state.
The rail route will extend across 2,117 kilometres, 36 of which will pass through Bahrain.
