MMA – THE stage is set for one of the most defining nights in Georgian mixed martial arts (MMA) history.
Tomorrow, Tbilisi New Sports Palace transforms into the battleground for BRAVE CF: Georgia vs the World, a blockbuster showcase where homegrown heroes collide with international standouts.
In partnership with Georgian Fighting Championship (GFC), the event anchors the fifth edition of BRAVE International Combat Week, headlined by nine thrilling clashes.
This historic spectacle elevates Georgia as the 37th nation to host a premium BRAVE CF event, underlining the promotion’s unrivaled global reach.
For the passionate Georgian fanbase, it also serves as a milestone moment – seven of the country’s finest warriors step into the cage with pride, ambition, and national glory on the line.
Carrying the weight of expectation is Raul Tutarauli (36-8), the main attraction of the evening.
Recognised as one of Georgia’s most celebrated mixed martial artists after Ilia “El Matador” Topuria and Guram “Georgian Viking” Kutateladze, Tutarauli enters his biggest assignment yet: a five-round war with Dutch veteran Pieter “The Archangel” Buist for the BRAVE CF interim lightweight world championship.
Another name carrying championship aspirations is Lasha Abramishvili (10-2-1). Known for his ferocity, with most wins ending by knockout, he has already proven himself on the BRAVE CF stage by toppling Magomed Idrisov and Brice Picaud in emphatic fashion.
Now, he squares off against Khurshed “Good Boy” Nazarov, the dangerous number three-ranked bantamweight contender from Tajikistan. With a victory, Abramishvili will position himself for a crack at Borislav Nikolic’s BRAVE CF bantamweight world title.
The co-main event promises fireworks, and Abramishvili intends to steal the spotlight.
Boasting an 8-1 record, Mukhrani Narsavidze makes his long-awaited debut on the sport’s international stage. Known for his 50-percent finishing rate, he welcomes the challenge of Moldova’s Gheorghe Gritko in a pivotal middleweight bout.
This appearance could cement Narsavidze as Georgia’s next rising star.
Returning for his first assignment of 2025, Luka Giorgadze (9-2) enters the featherweight division with intent. With six knockouts and one submission, Giorgadze promises an explosive performance as he meets unbeaten Aruban prospect Reymond Jowett.
A victory against an undefeated foe could elevate his status dramatically.
After years of grinding in the regional scene, Dimitri Bolkvadze (9-2) finally gets his international break. Competing on the preliminary card, the Georgian featherweight faces Timur Kuanysh of Kazakhstan.
This clash is more than a three-round tiff – it’s Bolkvadze’s chance to prove he belongs on the world stage.
Adding to the diversity of the card, Borena Tsertsvadze (4-0) represents the next wave of female athletes. With most of her victories coming by knockout, she tests the mettle of Azerbaijani prospect Khanim Bashirova in a women’s flyweight encounter.
Tsertsvadze seeks to keep her unblemished record intact while shining a spotlight on women’s MMA in her homeland.
Kicking off Georgia’s campaign is Badri Focxverashvili (4-1), a 29-year-old lightweight who embodies the spirit of a finisher. He locks horns with France’s Levy Carriel in a three-round showdown.
An early triumph for Focxverashvili could set the tone for his compatriots and ignite the Tbilisi crowd from the very first bell.
