FOOTBALL – ABDULLA Al Hashash fired in a sensational hat-trick to help lift Al Ahli to a resounding 4-2 victory over Al Najma last night as week four kicked off in the 2025-26 Nasser Bin Hamad Bahrain Premier Football League.
Al Hashash scored two of his goals in the opening half, when Ahli took a commanding 3-1 lead at Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa Town. He then added his third from the penalty spot after the break.

The fourth week of league action continues today and tomorrow with two fixtures apiece on each evening.
In Ahli’s big win last night, Husain Jaafar Haroona gave his team a dream start with a turning shot from inside the area in the third minute. Haroona scored off a free-kick delivered by Moroccan teammate Hamza Buihamghet.
Al Hashash then scored his first goal in the 21st minute from close range following a fine lobbed pass on a set piece by Cameroonian Fabrice Badouidana Onana. The former national team mainstay then added his second in the 34th minute to extend Ahli’s lead to 3-0. Al Hashash pounced on a loose ball after a shot by Faisal Hasan Hejair was blocked by Najma’s Serbian defender Dusan Jokovic.
Jokovic got one back for his side in the opening minute of first-half stoppage time. He headed in from the right of goal off an assist delivered by Saleh Ali Alzabidi.
After the interval, Al Hashash completed his hat-trick with a 58th-minute penalty. Ahli were awarded the spot kick after a shot by Jordanian Majd Moath Alzoubi was handled in the box by Najma’s Tunisian pro Hassine Refai.
Redha Hasan Marhoon then pegged the final score with a second consolation for Najma six minutes from full time. He volleyed in a rebound after a shot by Dutch midfielder Achraf Douiri was punched away by Sayed Shubbar Alawi.
With the result, Ahli came away with their first win of the season on their fourth outing. They improved to four points, while handing Najma a second loss. They stayed on two points.
Meanwhile, A’ali and Shabab battled to a standoff. Both teams registered their second draws of this campaign and they each went to five points.
