Saudi esports player Tala Al Mazroa has become the first Saudi female athlete to win a gold medal at the Asian Youth Games currently underway in Bahrain.
The win comes following an exceptional performance in eFootball, where Tala remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.
She claimed the gold medal in the eFootball competition, etching her name in history as the first Saudi woman to win a medal at any edition of the Asian Games, whether senior, youth, or indoor and martial arts tournaments.
Tala advanced to the final after defeating a Laotian player 2-1 and 3-0 in the semi-finals.
In the final, she triumphed over a Thai player with decisive scores of 3-0, 1-0, and 3-1.
