MOTORSPORT – BAHRAIN International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, is all set for a packed Friday of activities for everyone to enjoy.
Kicking things off with an early morning workout is Batelco Fitness on Track – a fun, physical activity that can be enjoyed by all members of the public, either individually or with family and friends.
Then, race enthusiasts will have their chance to satisfy their need for speed in Open Track, where they push their very own cars or motorbikes to the limit within the safe and secure environment of a world-renowned Formula One venue.
All those wishing to be a part of either experience can book or get more information on BIC’s official website bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000.
Batelco Fitness on Track will be held from 6am to 10am on Friday morning, making for a bright start to the weekend. The activity can be done either on foot or on a bicycle, giving participants the chance to select their preferred workout programme.
Runners and walkers will be utilising BIC’s 2.554-kilometre Inner Circuit, while cyclists will get to ride their bikes along the 3.543-kilometre Outer Circuit, with another dedicated area for children’s cycling.
The cost to take part is BD2 for cyclists and BD1 for runners. Payment must be made upon booking. Children under the age of 12 can participate for free if accompanied by a paying adult.
BIC’s Batelco Fitness on Track Season Pass is also available – ideal for regular participants as it grants access to all Batelco Fitness on Track events throughout the season. At the affordable price of just BD15, the pass is a great way to save money over the course of the year, with Batelco Fitness on Track being held multiple times each month, all the way through to April of 2026. Season Passes can be purchased by contacting the BIC Hotline.
Open Track will then be held right after from 11am to 7pm.
Participants will be able to take their very own private vehicles for a spin along BIC’s Inner Circuit. Drivers and riders will be able to experience the track in both daytime conditions and under lights at night, making for a thrill like no other.
Those interested in taking part can book their slot in advance at a reduced rate. The discounted cost for the full day is BD82.500, while the half day is BD55, and a single session is BD22. If booking on the day itself, the cost is BD93.500 for the full day, BD66 for half the day, and BD27.500 for a single session.
Instructor sessions are also available, while additional drivers and passengers can participate, all for an additional fee.
In every Open Track activity, driver etiquette is of ultimate importance, and there is no close or aggressive overtaking permitted. Overtaking is by invitation between corners and driving is monitored, with poor or dangerous driving being dealt with swiftly.
