Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday inaugurated the second edition of Qadha programme.
The event was attended by several ministers, senior officials, artists and guests.
Shaikh Khalid affirmed that the programme is a pioneering initiative aimed at shaping the character of Bahraini youth based on the values of discipline, leadership, challenge and commitment.
He added that the launch of the programme’s second edition comes in line with the ambitious vision of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and SCYS chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to promote the role of Bahraini youth in the nation’s development process.
The programme seeks to refine the youth’s leadership, physical and mental skills through a practical experience modelled on military and disciplinary training environments. It aims to instill in the youth the values of commitment, teamwork, a spirit of challenge, and dedication to serving the nation.
“The programme provides a unique platform to discover young talents and unleash their positive energy in a training environment that simulates real-life challenges, combining teamwork and discipline,” Shaikh Khalid said.
“We firmly believe that investing in Bahraini youth is the true bet on the future, and that supporting and empowering them is the surest path to strengthening Bahrain’s standing and leadership regionally and globally,” he added.
He also noted that the second edition of Qadha programme builds on the success of the first edition and embodies Bahrain’s vision to empower youth and prepare them to become the leaders of tomorrow. He praised the efforts of the production team and trainers, commending all participants and wishing them continued success.
The second edition of the programme will be available for free streaming on the Shahid platform, starting November 13 and featuring 10 episodes.
