Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior, in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, concluded the world’s largest hackathon, Absher Tuwaiq, held as part of the 2025 Absher Conference, under the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz.
Held from December 11 to 13, the hackathon brought together a select group of Saudi talents from across the Kingdom to develop innovative digital solutions supporting the ministry's digital transformation efforts. The three-day hackathon featured expert judging panels, workshops conducted by leading international organisations, and a range of accompanying activities, including prizes and raffles for participants.
The hackathon concluded with the announcement of the winning teams, who received prizes totalling SAR1 million, including a support grant of SAR450,000 from the National Technology Development Programme.
